At Industrious Girls, our mission is to inspire girls to be industrious and creative, to dream big, and think even bigger! Our Industrious Girls paintings (and other items coming soon) represent the brilliance and beauty that our girls possess both inside and out. Our mixed media paintings depict Industrious Girls with varied skin tones and interests. You can order your painting(s) as presented online or select the tones and hair styles that best reflect the Industrious Girls in your life.
Each 16"x 20" painting, on gallery-wrapped canvas, is an original work of art/heart. Keira and I listen to music and spend hours creating scenes and contexts for our girls to live their best life! On trips to the beach, Keira and I find shells and collect sand to add to many of our paintings. As we create, we step back and think "What else would our girls want in this scene? What outfits would our girls wear? We create or accent our girls' outfits with fabrics such as...African wax print, tulle, satin, and denim!

Please know that each painting, while inspired by the originals, are made when ordered and are One of a Kind. Details and materials will differ based on our available resources and what is inspiring us that day (eg. Original painting has a green butterfly...we may use a blue butterfly instead, or our girl's hair color may be black vs. brown) More scenes will be coming soon! Keira loves to play soccer, so that scene is on the way! Sign up for our mailing list to be informed of new scenes and girls. If you have an idea for a scene and/or girl, send us an email and we might create it! Hey...that may be a great contest! The person that submits the selected idea gets a free painting!
